Hey all, I’m diving into some concepts and I have a bunch of questions that have stumped me. Like, where’s the best place to use a P2SH multisig wallet? Bitcoin’s all about decentralization and privacy, so why share control?

Good point! I keep it simple when answering. For multisig, think about security. Like, you can use a 2-of-3 setup where you need keys from different devices. If one gets compromised, your Bitcoin is still safe.

I’ve seen non-standard transactions getting accepted by miners, even if they seem weird. Like, I found one that’s hella big and had zero fees. Non-standard but still valid, right?

Props for digging deep! P2SH multisig is great for shared control in companies, escrow situations, or even inheritance. It’s about protecting assets, not just privacy. And yeah, SegWit works with it, more efficient for sure.

Cool exercise, there’s some test transactions to try out. P2WSH wallets can get creative with hashing, makes for interesting results.

Yeah, multisig has risks too. If you lose 2 out of 3 keys, it’s a problem. You gotta be careful with your devices, especially if you carry all of them.

True, but consider this. Non-standard transactions aren't relayed by a lot of Bitcoin nodes, making them tough to get to miners unless you’re using specific services.

Lol, come on man. If you lose 2 keys in multisig, that falls on you. It’s called redundancy. And about the hashing confusion? Of course, same input yields the same output always.

Thanks for sharing that! It’s nice to have insights without direct contact. Also, yeah, ScriptSig is key for unlocking coins in ScriptPubKey. If there are no keys, it’s pretty much useless.
