I might be off-topic here, but I didn't know where else to share this. So, here we go.

Heard about this new tech? It's supposedly gonna double computer speeds and also be more energy efficient. It involves using multiple processors all at once. Sounds crazy.

Interesting concept! Curious how long till we actually see this in everyday use. Remember when multithreading first launched? Took ages before software could really take advantage of it.

From what I gather, this is just about better using existing hardware, right? Mining setups likely already max out their CPUs and GPUs. It won’t shake up the mining scene.

Sounds pretty unreal honestly. If this SHMT really works, it could change a lot! But double speed? I feel like that’s kinda overhyped. Even a 1.95 boost is cool, but not quite double.

It could be a big thing for tech, but for mining? I doubt it’ll change much. ASICs are still way faster. And let’s not forget potential hardware lifespan issues.

This article is trash. It claims double speeds but is based on using new AI cards. Plus, software has to be rewritten... some tasks won't even see gains.

Haha, true. First ASICs pushed miners from MH to GH, now we’re in TH territory. This SHMT just looks at using existing power better, not really boosting speeds.

Right, merged mining lets you handle more than one coin without losing efficiency, but does this SHMT really help? I don’t see major benefits for mining. Plus, it’s just going to make things tougher.

Merged mining is tricky. You're not splitting resources; you focus them on one coin mainly. Like BTC and NMC... there's some complexity there.

Didn’t realize the gap was so vast. CPUs vs. GPUs used to be hundreds, now it seems like thousands. I mistakenly thought ASICs were all about similar boosts.

Real benefit for mining? Lower power consumption, not extra speed. Difficulty adjustments are always gonna be a thing.
