So, is it compatible with Trezor models? I only use Trezor One and Trezor Safe 3. Also, can someone credible here confirm the reliability of the Bitcoin-Safe wallet? Is it a solid alternative to Electrum?

Bitcoin-Safe is different. It only supports hardware wallets, no hot wallets allowed. Unlike Electrum, which leaks your data, Bitcoin-Safe aims for privacy with BIP157/158 filters. Plus, it lets you connect to your Electrum server if you want.
True for mainnet, but on testnet, you can create a 'hot' wallet with its own private key without a hardware wallet. Great for newbies to get hands-on experience without risk. And hey, Trezor Safe 3 is supported.
Awesome update! That 6-step setup wizard is super user-friendly for newcomers. Quick question though, can we connect directly to our Bitcoin Core node or Electrum server during setup, or is it just a default backend? A local option would really boost privacy.
Kudos on the 2.0 launch! We definitely need more security-focused wallets in the crypto space.
Couldn't agree more @kruw. @satscraper makes a good point about on-chain transaction signing being safer for everyone, not just newbies. Plus, this feature isn't just for hardware wallets; it works with mobile apps like BlueWallet and Krux too. Totally safe on an airgapped smartphone.
I've got a Keystone hardware wallet, fully open source and airgapped. Why should I bother with Bitcoin-Safe? I feel like itâs unnecessary. Whatâs the big selling point for someone like me with an existing open-source wallet?
Bitcoin-Safe supports Keystone, assuming you're using it with the companion app. Remember, Bitcoin-Safe is desktop-only. The privacy benefits are huge though. No server can see your balances or history something Keystoneâs app doesnât provide.
Just saw the latest update for Bitcoin-Safe v.2.1.0! It now has light/dark theme options, MetroVault support, and an upgrade to BDK 3.0. Plus, they fixed bugs and rebranded to 'Bitcoin-Safe.' Pretty cool!
