Looks like FASB finally got around to creating some actual rules for crypto. Starting in 2025, they’ll have fair value accounting for Bitcoin and Ethereum and stuff. But what’s up with wrapped tokens not making the cut? I think it’s a big step but what about all these new projects and tokens out there? I see this as a huge win for businesses holding crypto. Now they’ll have a clearer way to measure value on their balance sheets. I just hope the implementation is not a total mess. Anyone else worried about how this will affect market stability? Sounds like a recipe for volatility tbh... +1 to those who see this as a positive change. But I wonder how many companies will actually follow through. "Crypto companies and other businesses with significant holdings..." Yeah, that’s pretty vague. What about the smaller players? I’m all for regulation but we gotta make sure it’s inclusive for everyone, you know? And does anyone actually trust FASB to make good judgments? 🤔
