Issues with Start9 Node Connectivity on TP-Link AX1500

I got a Start9 node up and running, pretty smooth so far. I’m using Sparrow Wallet with ElectRS and everything seems to be set up right, mostly default settings. But I switched to Bitcoin Knots instead of Bitcoin Core... could that be causing issues?

Incoming connections are not a must! That's just not true. Once a connection is made, data flows either way, doesn't matter who started it. If you want to keep it simple, just use TOR to make incoming connections without dealing with port settings.

Bitcoin Knots is just a tweak on Bitcoin Core, shouldn’t be the issue. I did a quick search and found out Starlink uses CGNAT, which blocks incoming connections. You might need to try a VPN that allows it or use TOR as a workaround.

Totally with you on Starlink and CGNAT. I contacted them, and they said there are two IPv4 setups: 'default' with CGNAT and 'public' for certain plans. Also, they do IPv6 for all setups. Gonna check what they mean by those 'certain plans' for public addresses.

You should run the VPN on your Start9 node. I mean, it could work on the router too, but I’m not sure how Starlink packages handle port forwarding. Might be worth asking in their community about that.
