Saw that on the news. Honestly, it seems like post-halving effects are playing a role too. What do you think? Is Trump really the reason behind this surge?
Is Trump the Real Reason for Bitcoin’s Surge?

I kinda doubt the whole post-halving hype. Miners are producing 450 BTC daily, but trading volume was over a million yesterday. That's a huge difference. I think the last real impact from halving was back in 2016.
Definitely not just Trump. I mean, ETFs are a big deal right now, and they’ve started to show their effect already. Lots of factors at play, tbh.

Who cares about the stories? It's all about that four-year cycle. People try to overanalyze every little thing, but Bitcoin's designed to go up in cycles. Just stack sats and ride it out.
If Harris had won, we probably would've seen a market panic. Could've been a disaster for Bitcoin, honestly. Trump's win just flipped the sentiment and sent prices soaring.

Yeah, Bitcoin does seem to follow its own trends more than outside factors. Sure, Trump’s win added hype, but this quarter was bound to see a rise regardless. I think any dip would’ve been minor.
There's definitely more than just Trump's election. People are excited about regulatory clarity. I think the bullish sentiment is because Trump validated a lot of what the crypto community wants.
The 4-year cycle theory is popular, but it's shaky. We’ve only seen two cycles really play out. Hard to know if this cycle will follow the same pattern or what.

Can't deny Trump’s influence. His support for Bitcoin is huge! It's a big change for the US and it could help boost the market. But yeah, ETFs are also a massive force right now.
Honestly, the market’s been bullish even before the elections. The halving effect is real, but Trump’s victory just quickened the pace. We’re definitely in for a wild ride moving forward.

Right, I'm with you on that. Every little thing can shift Bitcoin's price. If Musk dropped a tweet about Bitcoin, it would explode. I don’t think Harris would’ve been good for crypto, but we’ll never really know.
Who even knows what’s sparking this pump? As long as Bitcoin keeps climbing, that’s all that matters. I’m not gonna worry about who gets credit.

Fair point, but there's definitely a lot of sentiment driving the price. The post-halving excitement is kinda real, but it doesn't explain everything. October and November were already looking good for Bitcoin.
Didn’t Trump get us in a mess with his previous policies? His win could actually bring some stability, but I wouldn't trust it entirely. The real test will be when he takes office.
If the post-halving surge kicked in after Trump’s win, doesn’t it make sense to think his victory mattered more? Just saying we should look at the timing.
Come on, Trump’s history with crypto isn’t stellar. Let’s not forget the crypto takedown during his last term. So I’m skeptical about the boost from his win.
Yeah, who wants to write off Bitcoin's historical growth? Even without all these stories, it was bound to rise. Still, the market loves a good narrative.
It's global. Americans aren’t the only ones pumping Bitcoin. Lots of factors are contributing. Trump’s win was just one piece of a bigger puzzle.

Curious what people would say if Harris had won and prices tanked. Would they blame her? Or would they say it’s just another correction?
Trump’s a mixed bag. He could push Bitcoin up, but he might also surprise us with policies. It’s definitely a wait-and-see game.
