I’m pretty sure the answer is NO, but I wanna keep an open mind here. That's why I’m asking.

Albon is spot on, but no one’s really touched on this yet. Just wanted to share in the tech section for awareness. Here’s a heads up: SeedCheckPro is a scam!

You can sort of check your balance offline, but it’s limited.

If you've got the UTXO set saved, you can check your balance without being online. But as soon as a new block is mined, that info is outdated. Not everyone needs real-time updates, though.

Yeah, but the UTXO set is massive, like several GB. You gotta download it at some point unless you wanna be stuck.

My latest address list is about 1562 MB, but it won’t show transaction info. Seriously, it’s a scam. People still download shady software for seed phrases? Self-custody is definitely not for everyone.

I remember years back someone claimed you could send BTC without the internet, using radio waves. Maybe there's a way to check balance via radio too? But I doubt SeedCheckPro has anything legit.

For any method, like radio or whatever, there HAS to be an internet link at some point to connect to the BTC network. That's a fact.

Someone said wallets that support SPV can check balances offline. Not sure how though.

That sounds wrong, especially the offline bit. They’re mixing up full nodes and SPV wallets. Still need the internet to sync with the blockchain.

True, it would be nice to have offline money for when the web is down. Oh wait, we already have cash!

Yeah, hardware wallets don’t download everything. You can see last balances, but it might not be accurate.

I wouldn’t bother removing the negative tag. SeedCheckPro isn’t giving any clear info on how they plan to sync UTXOs offline. Real-time balance checks offline? Not happening unless they’re misleading people.

For sure, you can check balances in BTC, not in fiat tho. Load your transaction files into Bitcoin Core from a different machine.
