The idea that Bitcoin isn’t crypto... kinda weird right? It’s the biggest player in the game. I mean, we’ve got Bitcoin, altcoins, and then the ones that are just junk, but Bitcoin is still called a cryptocurrency everywhere.

Totally agree, Bitcoin is crypto. People just try to separate it because of all the trash altcoins that are out there. Like, stablecoins don’t even count in this mess we call crypto.

It’s true. Bitcoin holds value, while most altcoins seem to get pumped and dumped. Some even joke that altcoins are just gambling. They don’t hold up like Bitcoin does.

Exactly! If you think about it, if you take Bitcoin out, everything else becomes altcoins. Bitcoin is just on a whole other level. Its uniqueness is undeniable.

Seems like some folks don’t really get that Bitcoin is its own beast. You have to read what others are saying here to understand. People see Bitcoin as the original, and everything else is just trying to catch up.

You nailed it. Everyone calls Bitcoin a cryptocurrency, but some enthusiasts wanna say it’s not. Honestly, it’s just so different from all those other projects out there.

There’s a lot of misunderstanding. Some people think Bitcoin is superior, so they don’t wanna group it with other cryptos. But all these coins are still crypto, just Bitcoin shines brighter.

I get that. When I hear ‘crypto’, I think altcoins. But when someone says ‘cryptocurrency’, I include Bitcoin. People just like to label things differently.

Right, Bitcoin is a currency built on cryptography. So are altcoins. But Bitcoin’s the first and still holds the most value. It stands out from the crowd.

True, people want to separate Bitcoin to avoid confusion, especially for newcomers. They might get lost thinking all crypto is like Bitcoin.

Being labeled a Bitcoin maximalist isn’t a bad thing. I’d rather put my money in Bitcoin than in a sea of altcoins that just don’t measure up.

Yeah, I read that thread too. OP seems to have missed the point. Bitcoin is crypto by nature. It’s built on the same principles as other cryptos.

Kinda makes sense. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, but some think it shouldn’t be called that because it’s different from scammy altcoins.

People wanna keep Bitcoin apart from the junk coins that flood the market. It’s got a fixed supply and real use, which makes it stand out.

For sure, Bitcoin’s reputation as a value store is solid. But altcoins? They’re all over the place, and their value fluctuates like crazy.

Yeah... it’s kinda ridiculous how some want to exclude Bitcoin. It’s the leader of the pack, the pioneer. Can’t ignore that.

I think the argument stems from all the scammy coins out there. People want to differentiate Bitcoin to highlight its security and transparency.

Exactly! Crypto means Bitcoin too. But if you lump it with all the crap coins, it diminishes its reputation.

Good point! Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, but it’s got its own category. It’s not fair to compare it to the likes of Fartcoin.

Which is why we need to keep the conversation going. Reading through these points helps clarify a lot.
