So, the IRS just hired two guys from the private sector, Sulolit Mukherjee and Seth Wilks, to help with crypto tax stuff. Apparently, they’re going to focus on better compliance and enforcement. Sounds like a solid move, right?

Honestly, it’s pretty standard for tax agencies worldwide. They’re bringing in outside talent to boost efficiency. No surprise the IRS is following suit. They’re all about maximizing revenue and closing any loopholes.
Not every country rolls like that though. Where I’m from, tax offices can't act like commercial businesses. There are tons of licenses needed to even think about a contract with them, and usually, there’s a conflict of interest if you're advising both tax and private entities.
Yeah, I get that. In my country, a lot of public firms are run by corrupt officials, and the revenue usually vanishes into private pockets. So, the government often hires private firms to manage these agencies better. Honestly, it seems to work out better.
Public partnerships exist here too, but it’s like jumping through hoops for private firms. The contracts you get after a while are pretty exclusive and not available for small businesses. It's a whole different ball game.
