So, apparently Iran is gonna charge a dollar per barrel for oil that goes through the Strait, but it’s gotta be paid in Bitcoin. That’s wild, right? Seems like a new phase for crypto in international trade.

You kind of missed the boat on this one, man. Someone already posted about it almost an hour ago. You might want to check that thread and consider locking this one.

Yeah, discussions should probably continue in that other thread, it's more focused anyway. Let’s stay on topic instead of doubling up.
I've been tracking Bitcoin since this news dropped and guess what? The price shot up by around 5.5%. Iran's strategy here is bold, especially when they're taking a stand against big players like the US and Israel. This could really shake up the dollar dominance in oil.
Not sure this belongs in here. That other thread’s about yuan and stable coins, and this one is clearly about Bitcoin. We should keep Bitcoin the star of the show, not fiat or centralized stuff.
As long as they’re considering both fiat and crypto, I’m all for the discussion. Makes no sense if they talk about stable coins without acknowledging Bitcoin. But I’m curious, were taxes on this route even a thing before? And is crypto really the reason Bitcoin’s pumped lately?
