Instructions for Avalon Debug D Signal Short Circuit Board

I recently tried out the Avalon debug D signal shorting board while fixing a hash board from the Avalon 10 series. If the test fixture shows 0 or any number, it doesn't really matter if the C and CK signals are okay or not. This board helps you find the faulty chip super quickly. It's compatible with A10, A11, A12 series. All you gotta do is hit the switch, short-circuit the clip to connect to the D signal, and you can skip using the oscilloscope for fault detection. Major time-saver! Would recommend it to anyone working on these boards.

Sounds pretty handy. I wish I had this when I was fixing mine. Is it really that easy to use?

Totally agree, it's a big deal for debugging. Just press the switch and you're set. No more guesswork. Do you have any specific tips for connecting it? Like, should we be careful about something?

For sure, just make sure the connections are tight and that you don't short anything else by accident. Always double-check your setup. And yeah, +1 on this tool making things easier.

I still have my doubts. What if the D signal isn’t the issue? Things can get complicated fast.

True, it’s not a fix-all. But it narrows down the problem, which is better than poking around blindly.
