Is this the same chip as Halong's T1? Just curious if -ck will be providing firmware updates for this one. Can it only mine BTC? I also wonder if we’re limited to five pools.
Seems they should clarify that it works only with pools supporting AB. Otherwise, it feels kinda like false advertising, right? People will think it supports all SHA256 coins since that’s been the norm.
So I've crunched some numbers here. If we say 17.2TH 6% = around 16.17TH, and 1570W + 6% = about 1664W. If it can handle 50°C external temps, it might be decent in the market.
Thanks for clarifying, -ck. Price is key for me here. I’m not buying this unless it has solid firmware support. My T1s run fine, but I need options on speed settings.
True that! Pricing is key here. Bitmain can cut their S9 prices if Innosilicon shows similar performance or cost. The bulk price is known, but what’s the resell gonna look like?
Innosilicon has been okay so far, but I've heard other manufacturers are way easier to deal with. We’ve only placed orders recently, but it’s been pretty smooth for now. Still, a 17TH unit needs to be priced right to matter.
