So there's this idea floating around that Satoshi’s wallet has over a million BTC. Just thinking about that in USD made me freak out a bit. But if Satoshi showed up today, would that even change BTC prices? I mean, he's a total mystery, the guy who mined the first block and just vanished... kinda legendary if you ask me.
How Would Satoshi's Return Impact BTC Prices?

Honestly, if he popped up and said he wouldn’t sell, that could get people excited to invest more. His words would carry weight, but I doubt it would crash the market. Who even knows if he still controls those early blocks or if those wallets are just gathering dust.

Satoshi is believed to have around 1.1 million BTC and honestly, he doesn’t need to sell all that for cash. As the founder, he knows how to manage it without tanking the price. If he ever decides to sell, you can bet he’d do it in a way that wouldn’t freak everyone out.
This topic comes up a lot here. If he sold his BTC, sure, there would be a dip, but it wouldn’t last. People would just buy the dip, and it could even make them richer in the end. Price can drop, but it usually bounces back.
Seems like every other month someone asks this. If Satoshi came back and claimed he lost his coins, I can see some bearish moves happening, but most of us probably wouldn’t buy it. And if he doesn’t mention his coins, people would definitely wonder about him selling.
What happened to the whole 'don't trust, verify' thing? If Satoshi came out, he’d just end up being a centralized figure. Better for him and Bitcoin if he stays anonymous.

Honestly, if Satoshi shows up, he would have to prove he’s the real deal. If he sells off even a bit, we could just follow his lead and sell too. As long as he keeps his coins, I’m chill. But the government will probably still hound him.
He’d be chased down for sure. Staying hidden is probably the safest bet for him.
If Satoshi showed up today, I don’t think anyone would accept him at face value. Remember those fake Satoshis? They didn’t shake the market. Legit proof is a must.
Satoshi’s reappearance might cause prices to skyrocket, just because people would feel more secure knowing who’s behind Bitcoin. But if things go south, they’d have someone to blame. That's why he stayed hidden.
It’s a rumor, but I get why people doubt that Satoshi could own that much BTC. He mined it in the early days when it was super cheap. This skepticism about his stash is misplaced.
If Satoshi came out, it could swing BTC prices either way. If he sells, expect a drop. But people might just follow his lead and start buying more too.

What if instead of showing up, Satoshi just started moving coins around? That’s a more interesting question. If that happens, you can bet it’ll impact prices big time.
Bitcoin's market cap is massive, but liquidity is not. If he dumped even a fraction of his BTC on exchanges, it would panic the market. Remember what happened with the German government selling a bit.

He’s been under the radar for so long. If he thinks appearing will help BTC, I don’t know about that. People who haven’t bought in by now probably won’t just because he shows up.
If he sells, it could cause a short-term drop, but in the long run, the market will stabilize. Once he’s out of the picture, the pressure eases.
I also wondered about this, but I doubt he’ll surface. Bitcoin is thriving without him, and he probably prefers to let it run its course.

There's no point in him showing up now. His BTC holdings are worth billions. He’s made his mark and doesn’t need the limelight.

But would he really sell everything at once and crash the market he created? Seems unlikely. He knows better than to ruin the future of Bitcoin.

Satoshi is a genius. If he reveals himself now, it could mess with decentralization. He likely won’t ever show his hand.
