Bitcoin used to mean something way different. It’s still decentralized, yeah, and we’re still hoping for those big price jumps, but it feels like it lost its original vibe.
Has Bitcoin Lost Its Original Essence?

Not sure I agree with that. Bitcoin's alive and kicking. Sure, regulations suck, but the early users are still pushing things forward. Just way less privacy now.
We’re still figuring it out. At first, they ignored it, then they tried to control it. Now that’s where we are. But Bitcoin can still be used for whatever. That’s the beauty of decentralization.

They asked for adoption and now they can’t kill it, so they’re putting it under their control. Yeah, we can trade Bitcoin, but anonymity? Gone. Taxed now too. We might forget what Bitcoin was all about.
Anything the government touches gets controlled, you know? New users are mostly in it for profit, not really caring about the privacy aspect. They don’t get why Bitcoin was made.

Wait, we sold Bitcoin’s soul? News to me. Bitcoin’s still private. No third party involved. Sure, you can see transactions, but it’s still decentralized and doing its thing.
People in the Bitcoin community might see it differently. For them, it’s all about profits now. The ‘soul’ is just about numbers going up, right?

True, but Bitcoin isn’t the one being regulated. That’s us. I can choose how I handle my Bitcoin. The government can’t really stop me, just like they can’t stop any illegal cash stuff.
Bitcoin is still what it is. Just because it’s in a museum doesn’t change anything. The government can control people, but the network? It’s still strong. It’s all about how we use it.

So you’re saying we didn’t sell its soul? Sounds like a stretch. The government’s made it seem like you own Bitcoin, but really, it feels like you own a dollar wrapped in BTC.
A decade ago, we wanted adoption for peace of mind. Now we’re uncomfortable with it. What’s changed? Is it the ETFs? BlackRock? Are they Trojan horses?
BTC is still decentralized, and we’re on track for that million-dollar coin. The exchanges are regulated, yes, but there are still DEXs where you don’t need to give your info.

Some people get comfy with regulations, thinking it’s safe. But the more valuable it gets, the more skepticism there is. The media doesn’t help, painting Bitcoin as a crime tool.

If by Trojan horses you mean upgrades and regulatory policies, I get that. But Bitcoin adapted to survive, and the math still works according to the original ideas.
Quantum computing is gonna be a big deal, right? Keeping an eye on that.
I almost bought into that narrative that Bitcoin’s done. But nah, it’s not over yet. The community’s still working hard. I hope it stays decentralized and escapes the banks' grip.
Just a heads up, don’t take this as an attack. Just be careful what you wish for. Satoshi warned us about trusting banks too much.

We never sold its soul. Bitcoin’s still decentralized. It’s not dead, even if analysts keep saying it is.
I think we just have to accept Bitcoin for what it is now. It’s not Bitcoin that’s changed, it’s how people are using it. The government’s not controlling Bitcoin, it’s the users.
If privacy matters to you, you can still keep it. Just gotta stay away from the centralized stuff. But a lot of new investors just want profits, not privacy.
