Just got my hands on a WhatsMiner M3 to review here. New toy for us, let's see how it performs.

Ugh the fan noise, how does it stack against Antminer s9?

Looks solid, especially for 28nm tech. About the anti-static wrap, is it cloudy and gritty? If so, that’s a good sign.

Anyone got an idea if it’s even officially out yet? And not super convinced about that 2kW power usage...

ROHS compliance mostly needs silver solder. You have to inspect the PCB parts too. CE means it shouldn't be exposed to high voltage when running.

So, is it worth buying? If you can handle the noise and have cheap power, go for it.

2kW for just 11.5Th/s? That's quite a bit of juice.
