So there's this demo happening soon that shows how some Bitcoin transactions can take forever to validate. It's linked to BIP 54, and there's gonna be a chance to connect your node to their signet to see it in action. Pretty wild, right?

Awesome, thanks for sharing! Just to add, BIP 54 is about fixing some consensus issues. It's been worked on since Matt Corallo's Great Consensus Cleanup. Antoine Poinsot led this project and made some changes. There’s a simple breakdown on the official site if anyone's curious. The demo will check out those 'poison blocks' where a block is made with tricky transactions that could slow things down.

That poison block stuff is wild... like usually people think nodes just validate, but time really matters too. A valid block can be set up in a way that runs honest nodes into the ground. It messes with block propagation and can mess up miners on basic setups. It's not just theory, it's got real-world effects for node operators. Just saying, we should pay more attention to that.
