Looks like the EU is cracking down on privacy coins and self-custody wallets. Mixing services are becoming a no-go, and new rules are dropping soon.

Kinda wild they’re really doing this. Heard they plan to limit anonymous payments from wallets to just €1,000. That’s gonna change a lot.

We’ve been talking about this before. Bitmover mentioned getting a heads-up from Bitstamp about these Mica Regulations. Seems like it’s really happening.

Yeah, this isn't exactly breaking news. But there’s so much chatter around it now. Everyone’s trying to figure out how it impacts them.

On Feb 1, 2025, DAC8 kicks in, and it’ll shake things up for crypto holders in the EU. Must be a nightmare for international businesses.

I’ve been saying this for years but no one really gets it. People think Bitcoin can’t be controlled, but soon it’ll be all regulations.

Not sure biting off too much with this regulation stuff. Mandatory KYC for DeFi? Seriously? That’ll kill innovation in Europe.

Nah, it won’t kill it. It’ll just make it more legit. We need businesses that are accountable instead of shady ones.

But it’s invasive! How can they really verify these addresses? What about innocent users getting caught in the crossfire?

All these rules are just gonna push more projects underground. They’ll find ways to operate outside the law, like using TOR.

Exactly. They can’t just wipe out innovation. People will always find a way to get around restrictions.

Honestly, I can see regulation helping to clean up the space. Too many scams in the past; we need some order.

But at what cost? This pushes us back towards centralized control over our assets, which is the opposite of what crypto is about.

The thing is, we’re heading into a surveillance state. Everything’s about control now. It’s a slippery slope.

So they want to restrict mixers? Can’t believe they’re taking that step already. Bye-bye privacy for EU citizens.

Yeah, if you want privacy now, good luck with that. Centralized exchanges are the only option left.

People really need to wake up to what's happening. History shows totalitarian states don’t last.

If they think about banning TOR, that’s gonna backfire. Tech always finds a way to evolve.

And let’s not forget about Monero. It’s been under attack for a while but still manages to provide privacy.

For real. Bitcoin was never designed as a privacy coin. It’s a public ledger, not what people think it is.
