I’m all about those Bitcoin fundamentals like decentralization and self-custody. They’re key for safety and security in any crypto space. We need to look out for everyone, not just a few.

Yeah, but some folks think decentralized platforms are okay just because they have a ton of ads. Not everyone can access these platforms, though. Many end up on centralized exchanges for P2P.

True, scams are everywhere, whether it’s a centralized or decentralized exchange. Just because they call themselves "Decentralized" or "Instant" doesn’t mean they won’t pull a fast one.

Instant exchanges are cool, but they still need some trust. It’s all about minimizing reliance on middlemen. Look at betting platforms; less trust involved is always better.

Cryptos are about freedom, man. Centralized platforms? Nah, they don’t vibe with the whole decentralization thing, which is super important for crypto.

Decentralization is key but let’s be real. Centralized exchanges have their purpose, especially for newbies. They’re user-friendly, even if they come with risks. It’s all about balance.

But with self-custody, users control their Bitcoin. What about altcoins? Those projects can be centralized, and devs can freeze funds anytime.

I get you, privacy is huge. That’s why a lot of users prefer decentralized wallets and only go to centralized platforms when it's time to cash out.

What about different types of swaps for that trustlessness? Atomic swaps could solve a lot of issues since they need no trust.

Centralized exchanges, KYC or not, still carry risk. You’re not in full control of your funds; a third party holds the keys. It kinda goes against what Bitcoin stands for.

It’s nice when exchanges provide proof for trust, like signing deposit addresses. But freezes happen due to regulations, and that’s a pain.

There’s really no negotiation. It’s about how to get Bitcoin through whatever exchange is available. Centralized exchanges without KYC might be better, but funds shouldn’t stay there long.

If you’re using a platform for more than just exchanging, you’re asking for trouble. These fast transaction applications really aren’t for long-term storage.

Exactly! Decentralized exchanges can be great for privacy, but only as long as they’re running smoothly.

If 'instant' exchanges still follow centralized practices like AML terms, what's the point? They’re not adhering to the principles we need. Plus, Bitcoin’s protocol has its own timeline.

Finding a perfect balance seems impossible right now. It's either a slow process or giving away privacy for KYC. For now, we gotta sacrifice something, usually time.
