I'm curious... if I run one RTX 4090 on BSGS and another on Pollard Rho, which one is faster? Like, actual speeds per second and stuff. Anyone here got hands-on experience with this?

Realistically, I've gotta say neither of these is really faster when comparing secp256k1 to a random key. They're both in the same boat with that sqrt(N) thing. For a full 256-bit keyspace, we're talking about ridiculous times. The only situations where this matters is if you're working with a narrowed-down problem like a known range or something.

BSGS is actually pretty heavy on memory. You’ve gotta keep track of all those computed points, and GPUs aren't the best for memory-bound stuff. They excel at computing fast, but if all those points have to sift through to VRAM, expect a severe slowdown. Pollard Rho definitely has the edge here since it hardly needs memory access.
I just wanna know what's been done specifically with 4090s, like speed tests and all. This is for a puzzle with a known range, btw. Anyone got real numbers?
