So CFTC just dished out almost 350 million to whistleblowers. Crazy right? That's massive! But I wonder if they really rely on these guys too much... Like, shouldn’t they have better ways to enforce laws?

Exactly! Whistleblowers put themselves at risk, and I get that they should be rewarded, but c'mon, we need a more solid system. The fact that they have to step up like this means something's off with the enforcement process.
Let’s be real, most whistleblowers are insiders, right? They're often just chasing the payout. I mean, does anyone really think they're all heroes? Plus, their identities being protected is super important. What if some mole is just waiting for a chance?
Totally agree on the protection part. When you’re spilling secrets, being exposed can be lethal. And yeah, many are just trying to cash in, but if it helps reduce fraud, it’s not all bad? Just gotta balance the risks.

I believe a lot of whistleblowers are actual employees of those companies being investigated. They probably know how deep the corruption runs. But yeah, I can't shake off the thought that they could be in serious trouble once they speak up.
