Can gambling really be seen as an investment?

A coworker keeps insisting that gambling is basically an investment. Like, he thinks if you put in more money, you can get a better return. I just don't get it, because to me, gambling is all about having fun, not making a profit.

Exactly! I mean, how can you call something that relies on chance an investment? Totally different concepts.
