Totally agree... If you're in blockchain, keep it to yourself. Your BTC is your business.

Why trade Bitcoin locally? Global options are way better. Just avoid local exchanges.

Are we really at crisis level? I’ve seen some posts but mostly about celebs, not regular folks.
What’s your point? Telling family about your blockchain job won’t lead to hostage situations, right?
True, a lot of attacks come from people showing off their crypto lifestyle... People need to be cautious.
It's not just KYC; any exchange can be risky. Privacy is key, regardless of location.

Not saying it will happen, but verified info can end up in the wrong hands... Better to be safe.
Banks can have issues too. Should we avoid them? Local exchanges might be more convenient.

Using local exchanges doesn’t mean you’re unsafe... Attention-seeking behavior draws the wrong crowd.

Everyone should just be more private with their investments... That can help avoid unwanted attention.
How’s using a local exchange a problem? Most traders are anonymous, right?
Kidnapping for ransom isn’t new... They just switched from cash to Bitcoin.
Seriously, it sounds like you think this is a daily occurrence. The stats show it’s not that common.

Don't generalize... Cash is still the main target, but Bitcoin is harder to trace.

Centralized exchanges are always risky with KYC... Decentralized exchanges are a safer bet.
Data leaks can happen anywhere. Local or foreign, the risk is there. Privacy policies matter most.
Exactly, data breaches can happen on any exchange... It’s about how they handle your info.

So you think local exchanges are better? I don’t see the difference compared to global ones.

It’s all about your comfort level... Just be careful where you trade and how much you share.
