Looking to buy or sell BTC and XMR in person for cash? I used to use localbitcoins.com, but things have changed. What’s up-to-date and reliable for face-to-face trades?
Best Places for In-Person BTC and XMR Trades in the US?

Check out some privacy-focused p2p exchanges like kycnot.me. But localcoinswap.com offers in-person cash deals, although it doesn’t support XMR, just BTC.
Getting XMR can be tricky since not all exchanges or p2p platforms offer it. Best bet is to grab BTC first, then swap it for XMR later.

Reddit still has some opportunities, but fair warning, hunting for XMR is risky. The laws around it are a grey area in many places, especially in the US due to strict KYC regulations.
Have you looked into Robotsats? They have a non-KYC friendly option. But seriously, meeting someone face-to-face can be sketchy. What if they turn out to be shady?
For sure. And especially with all these wrench attacks happening. It's risky. Better to keep trades small, you know? Big amounts just attract bad attention.

How much are we talking about here? Meeting in person is dangerous... seriously, way too much potential to get rekt.
P2P is definitely safer, no real-life interactions. XMR holding isn’t illegal, but exchanges might skip listing it to stay compliant.
In short, best to avoid XMR in-person trades. It just screams danger. Plus, not many people are willing to meet up either.
Why is it riskier? Both coins come with similar issues in person. Why single out XMR?
It's all about exposure. You’re way more vulnerable meeting someone directly, especially cash deals. Online exchanges keep you way safer.
Yeah, but you can still meet safely. Just choose a secure place, like a mall. It's just like selling anything else.
Cash trading is cool, but verifying the cash is legit can be a hassle. You can’t easily tell if it’s fake when trading in public.
Learn to spot counterfeit notes. Or invest in a UV detector. But I think a mall or even a bank gives better security.
Not saying a mall is a sure bet, but someone could easily stalk you before the meetup. Not just random robberies, but planned ones.

Chill, man. Most of these fears are exaggerated. Legit traders won’t risk everything for a small deal. Bad stories are rare; millions of trades happen without issues.
