Bitcoin's transaction history is forever public, so once something’s linked to you, it’s like signing your name on it. What happens if new tech digs up more info, right? How do the experts see this?

Wait, how can they reveal what doesn’t exist? Bitcoin’s not KYC, so unless someone links their identity to an address, they’re in the clear, right? No worries here, imo.

But if your identity's tied to your address, that’s kinda on you, no? Just create a new address and keep it separate. It’s all about how you manage your privacy.

Yeah, but let’s be real. Bitcoin was never built for privacy. If people want to stay private, they gotta educate themselves. Check these guides if you care about privacy.

But can modern tech actually track down users like this? Address to user IP to computer? Sounds wild.

It’s not on the experts to fix privacy issues. It’s on each of us to decide how much we share. Don’t do KYC, avoid reusing addresses, maybe coinjoin, you know?

I’m not an expert but I think it’s true that once your identity is linked to an address, you can’t just erase it. It’s about using smarter practices to protect yourself.

Honestly, most people would have to do something major for the government to bother tracking them down like that. Less data shared means harder to track, right?

Coinjoin can help with tracing problems. Look at this transaction with several participants nearly impossible to trace.

Disagree. Not just anyone can trace it. They can see where it came from and went to, but if you’re careful, it’s harder for them.

If it’s tied to your identity, your privacy is out the window. You can’t change the past, but you can control future transactions.

Check out this article about metadata. Bitcoin does leak some info, and if someone’s determined enough, they could use chain analysis. Coinjoin is really the way to go.

Bitcoin is decentralized but definitely not a privacy coin. All transaction history is there for anyone to see. You gotta use non-KYC services and exchanges.

Wasabi is good for Coinjoin, but I’ve heard they partnered with some chain analysis company. Is it still worth it for privacy?

There are private blockchains, sure. But Bitcoin’s public keys don’t risk the safety of your funds unless you don’t practice good privacy protocols.

Bitcoin transactions are traceable. It’s pseudonymous, so unless you give away your identity, no one knows who’s behind the address.

Can’t get private keys from public ones. If that were possible, everyone would be losing their bitcoins left and right.

I’ve changed my mind about Wasabi. The previous partnership was sketchy. But now they’re community-driven, which is a good sign.

Monero might be the better option if you want total privacy. Just saying.

Learn the difference between anonymity and pseudonymity. Bitcoin transactions are visible but identities aren’t attached unless you connect them to external sources.
