I'm kinda new to all this, so sorry if I sound clueless. I'm building a house in Canada and need to know which outlets to ask my builder to put in. I don’t think electrical load will be a problem since my area has high amp service. I wanna set up an Antminer S19 which needs 20 amps. Can I just start with one unit and later expand to four? Planning to keep it in the basement for heat in winter, then move to garage in summer.

Dude, definitely go with cat6 if the price difference isn’t huge. I use a wifi bridge in my garage and it gets the job done, but it’s just one more thing that could fail on me... Outlets are simple to swap out. But be sure to decide on the max amp rating you need and how many outlets to install. Honestly, I’d put in two outlets on a 20A breaker for each miner. That should work fine for your current 3kw units. If you can, get wiring rated for 30A. You'll thank yourself later when the next gen miners crank up above 4kw.

Yeah, using good wiring is key, like 10 gauge for 30 amps. Let me dig up a link for a 14-50R outlet that works with the S17… Found one! Check it out on Amazon! This should work just fine.
