Quick summary: I put actual sats in real beer bottles. Pop the cap, scan it, find out how many sats you won, then claim them.

Hey everyone, I’m Altan from Germany! Been into Bitcoin for a while and I love craft beer. My English isn’t perfect, so please bear with me. I’m super excited to share my project: Beer of Satoshi. Imagine enjoying a beer and scoring some sats at the same time.

So basically, this whole thing is a fun way to give sats to beer lovers, huh? It's like a win-win. You enjoy the beer, get some free sats, and it might help you sell more. Clever move!

I love this idea! It’s gonna increase beer sales for sure and promote Bitcoin too. Other breweries might want to jump on this trend as well. Just a tip: put something like "Up to $1,000 in Bitcoin" on the label. People won't get what 1 million sats means.

The best part is your genuine desire to spread Bitcoin awareness. It’s like you’re giving back to the community. This isn’t just about profits. Kudos to you, Altan! Hopefully, this inspires others to do something similar.

Would love to see some pics of the beer cans! Also, how much does it cost to produce one? I bet you have to price it to cover the sats rewards, right? Some might think it’s pricey if they only get a small reward. Does the QR code have tips for wallet security too?

Thanks for all the responses! I’ll share pics of the bottles soon. For now, if you’re curious about the full story, check out my Geyser page. And there’s a nice article on Lightning.news about it too.

This is really cool! Reminds me of a Coca-Cola campaign where you scan a cap for a prize. Just out of curiosity, does the price of the beer cover production costs?

Your concept is fantastic! As a beer enthusiast, I totally agree. I bet in the future, this will be a common practice. Instead of just coupons, people will be getting QR codes with sats!

This is one of those reads that’s worth every minute. You’re doing something so unique by sharing sats with those who haven’t experienced Bitcoin yet. Why beer, though? Won’t that encourage excessive drinking to chase those free sats?

I really dig the whole Bitcoin design on the beer bottles. Limited editions will be awesome collectibles! So, does shipping only cover Europe?

Yup, the price of the beer covers everything: brewing, bottling, packaging, rewards, VAT, and even a donation to Bitcoin projects. It’s a bit pricier than regular beer, but it’s still reasonable for craft beer.

I held back on sharing links at first just to focus on the idea. But fair point, I’ve added them now so people can look it up easily.

The UK is included in shipping! We deliver to most of Europe except Cyprus. And yes, this is truly craft beer, brewed in Germany with a small-batch recipe. Only 27,140 bottles in the first run!

Such a cool project, man! You’re making Bitcoin feel real and accessible. It’s fun, social, and gets people excited about trying Lightning for the first time. I think this is a great way to promote adoption.

Exactly what I was hoping for! Make Bitcoin tangible and fun at parties. Right now, shipping is limited to Europe due to alcohol laws. If I can figure out global shipping without crazy costs, I’ll expand.

This is awesome! I think your initiative can create a great vibe around buying your beer. I’d love to try it, but shipping’s too far for me. Hope some lucky folks share their wins here.

Your creativity is impressive! It’s so easy for anyone to get these sats now. Even if some just buy for the free sats, I bet many will get interested in Bitcoin after.
