For crypto to go mainstream, it really needs to be user-friendly. But is that convenience worth the trade-off in security?

Not really, there are solid open-source wallets out there like Electrum that are easy to use without risking security. People just need to be aware of their options.

Never sacrifice security for ease of use. What’s the point if you just end up getting wrecked by scammers, lol. Bitcoin will evolve, just give it time.

Sure, exchanges help people get into crypto, but it’s not all sunshine. Non-custodial wallets provide convenience too, no hassles with verification.

It really boils down to personal choice. Some folks still trust centralized platforms despite the risks. The crypto space keeps evolving, but regulations can be a blocker.

Mass adoption won’t happen until people wake up to the flaws in fiat. It’s not just about security or convenience; it’s a mindset change.

But the average person isn’t thinking that deeply. Banks make it easy to manage money, and that’s what most people want. They see crypto as a quick way to make cash.

Loans and use? Total traps. You put your money at risk and that’s a slippery slope to bad choices. History has shown us that.

You can't have convenience without some level of security in this space. Would you trust a hot wallet for your Bitcoin? I wouldn’t lose sleep over that.

Bitcoin isn’t complicated. If you want to use it, invest some time to learn. The network is stable and secure, just needs to be understood.

If we want merchants to accept crypto, it needs to be super easy to use. Competing with debit cards that have low fees is tough.

Absolutely! More convenience leads to mass adoption. If you can’t easily trade or convert to fiat, people won’t stick with it.

But what about credit cards that hold crypto? They’re bound by strict rules. Plus, they sacrifice privacy compared to true crypto transactions.

Security and usability can coexist. Look at the Lightning Network; it’s designed to keep both in check.

What do you mean ‘0 fees’? That ain’t true. There are hidden fees with cards. We gotta be clear about what we’re comparing.

I disagree; you don’t have to choose between security and convenience. Finding a good non-custodial wallet isn’t harder than signing up for a centralized exchange.

Convenience is really just about a smoother user experience. People want to profit, not hold Bitcoin for the long haul.

You’re onto something. Last time I used a centralized platform, it was a pain with KYC and setup. Electrum is way smoother.

FTX was a disaster, but not just because of convenience. People ignored the red flags. If you own multiple bitcoins, spread them out.
