Bitcoin was supposed to be decentralized, right? But most folks are using it through centralized platforms like Coinbase and Binance.

Yeah, like a filter. The recent price drop is showing who’s really in it for the long haul versus those just chasing quick profits. It's kinda wild how easy it is for them to jump to gambling now.

Not every issue can be fixed just by better code. Seems like the core of this is a social problem, tbh.

As long as there's demand and cheap energy, miners will stick around. Even if mining becomes unprofitable, the cycle will reset, and it'll bounce back. That's just how it goes.

Next time, maybe keep one main topic? You went from decentralization to mining to price. And no one’s forced to use a centralized exchange. Most peeps just want to get rich.

Just buy BTC if you’re not into mining! And by the way, your username is... interesting.

Who says Satoshi made Bitcoin to tackle social issues? He just gave us a tool, not some magic solution. It’s not like he forced us into it.

It’s about giving folks options. People can use it how they want.

The price is what pulls people in, not the freedom or security. Most don’t care about privacy and just use CEXs. If regulations keep tightening, buying Bitcoin might feel sketchy.

What exactly needs fixing? You didn’t clarify. If it’s about CEX use, that’s not a flaw. People can do what they want with their coins.

Mining isn’t for the average Joe anymore with the costs involved. It’s much easier to just buy a little bit of Bitcoin.

That’s the thing! Some people don’t want to deal with the hassle of decentralized services. They’re just in it for the price fluctuations.

Totally agree! CEXs are way easier for newbies than decentralized ones. But whatever people do with their Bitcoin is on them. Worrying about it feels pointless.

Bitcoin’s great because you can use it however you want. I’m not here to judge how others buy or sell.

Since late 2022, there have been warnings about keeping funds on exchanges. If people paid attention, they’d know how to protect their bitcoins.

True, some just buy BTC for profit. CEXs aren’t the enemy; they actually help new investors. But yeah, holding on to your crypto in a wallet is safer.

For sure, someone has to sell for you to buy. CEXs might have issues, but what are the alternatives? Stock markets have brokers too.

Satoshi probably didn't care about social issues. Bitcoin isn’t the solution for that; it’s up to elected leaders to tackle those.

The OP really needs to get straight on how to buy Bitcoin on a CEX. It’s not as complicated as they think.

Different people use Bitcoin in different ways. It’s not anyone’s business how someone else spends their crypto.
