Are MultiSig wallets really safe or just for people who know what they're doing? I wanted to use one for added security, but now I'm second-guessing everything. Is it complicated to set up or am I just overthinking it?

Honestly, if you don't understand the Script behind your MultiSig setup, don't put any coins in there. Gotta know what you're doing or you could lose it all.

So true. If you’re using your own keys as cosigners, you can lower the risk of something going wrong. If you have two hardware wallets and a software one, it’s less likely all three would get compromised at once.

Nothing in Bitcoin is just secure or insecure without context. It totally depends on how you’re using it. Like if those cosigners are just for a simple 2-of-3 setup vs. a more complex arrangement.

Right. But if one wallet gets hit with malware, what then? Is my whole setup compromised or will the other wallets still show me the real address?

Partly. If one key is weak, then you're kinda stuck. You still need two signatures to make it work, which could lower your overall security to a 1-of-2 if one wallet goes bad.

But if they give you different addresses, you’ll know something’s off. If one shows a different address than the other two, that’s a red flag.

What if your hardware wallet can't handle all the cosigner public keys? You'd be in trouble then, right? Wouldn’t that cause issues with verifying addresses?

Exactly. If it can't store those keys, how do you even verify new addresses? Doesn’t make sense.

I hear you. MultiSig can be risky, but it's way better than a single wallet if used right. If you're not ready to handle it, maybe take a step back and learn first. It’s a bit of a hassle but worth it if you understand what you're doing.
