I get where you’re coming from, but paying investors with their own capital has Ponzi vibes. It’s not about legitimacy, but how they create returns.
What’s worrying is that dividends are coming from investors’ own money, which feels a bit sketchy to me. That’s a slippery slope.
Isn’t that the point? The average investor doesn’t really get what Bitcoin is. Most don’t even know about satoshis. They just see the number go up.
I think every Ponzi needs that initial cash flow, and yeah, hype keeps it alive. But can we really lump Bitcoin in with Ponzi schemes? It started from nothing and seems different somehow.
Every Ponzi scheme has to start with some initial capital. I've seen this happen where they take that seed money, buy a ton of Bitcoin, and then build this image of success.
