Absolutely! Upgrading from 2GB to 4GB makes a big difference. And for older systems, consider using internal drives, not USBs. USB ports age badly.

For Linux, I’ve seen good takes on Mint and Ubuntu. It’s just hard to choose as a total beginner. Sounds like you should think about adding more RAM, maybe 4GB at minimum.

That’s a bummer. A8 and A9 Series had pretty solid reputations for stability. Can’t guarantee used miners perform like new ones though. If you buy new, you get 360 days of service.
