Satoshi holds a ton of bitcoin from back in the day. Yet he hasn’t sold any, even with current prices. Why is that?

Honestly, I don't think fear of a crash is the reason. Satoshi is all about ideals. It’s not really about making money for him, it’s more like a statement.

Or maybe he’s actually dead… or kidnapped? Could be a brain injury too. Who knows? Speculation is all we can do here.

Or he’s still alive somewhere. Or maybe 'Satoshi' is just a group and not a single person.

We’re left guessing because nobody truly knows what’s up with him. I heard some say he might have lost his wallet access. I lean towards him being gone or deciding to let the coins benefit the ecosystem.

Honestly, I doubt it's fear of a crash. If Satoshi is around, I don’t think he cares about that when he dumps some coins. The market will be fine.

I just find it funny. He made this crypto but he’s not a whale who just pumps and dumps. If he’s alive, selling just isn't in his nature.

Satoshi’s got a stash of coins in addresses we don’t even consider his. He could’ve moved them around quietly. He has no real reason to flood the market.

I mean, right now isn’t the time for him to sell. Bitcoin is still trying to find its place. Selling now could freak out investors.

#10 Jul 10, 2019, 08:10 PM I don’t think pressure from anyone is making him hold off. He’s committed to decentralization, and that’s why he hasn’t sold.

#11 Jul 11, 2019, 01:53 AM Satoshi wouldn’t want to crash the market. If he sold out, it’d be like he’s quitting on Bitcoin, and that’d mess with us all.

#12 Jul 11, 2019, 04:58 AM Why would a crash even be on his mind? Look at how much Bitcoin institutions have sold after ETF approvals. A sell-off wouldn’t hurt that bad.

#13 Jul 12, 2019, 12:54 AM Totally. What matters is BTC keeps moving forward, regardless of Satoshi.

#14 Jul 12, 2019, 03:57 AM If Satoshi were to sell, I’d be ready to buy the dip. That could bring prices down, but it’d be a great buying chance for future gains.

#15 Jul 12, 2019, 09:07 AM Satoshi did create only 21 million BTC. If he sold, it wouldn’t really change anything. Some investors would even welcome it for cheaper buys.

#16 Jul 12, 2019, 12:06 PM I wonder if it’s even on his radar to sell. Who knows, maybe he’s got other wallets he’s using without us knowing.

#17 Jul 12, 2019, 01:57 PM You can’t be sure he hasn’t sold any. Sure, his first mined coins are untouched, but he could’ve mined more later.

#18 Jul 12, 2019, 06:00 PM Even if he’s around, moving coins isn’t about profit. It’s like proof of his work, showing Bitcoin's value.

#19 Jul 12, 2019, 07:39 PM We just can’t pin down Satoshi’s motives. He might be busy with something else or just watching from a distance.

#20 Jul 13, 2019, 10:10 AM Definitely, if there are sellers, buyers will come in. So if the market dips, I'm all for panic buying. Let’s welcome those discounts.
