Which Bitcoin Wallets Are You Using This Year?

What wallets are you all using on desktop and mobile these days? I'm on Electrum and Bluewallet.

I stick to non-custodial wallets for desktop and mobile. But yeah, sometimes I have to use custodial ones on exchanges for quick trades or cashing out. It's been my approach for years now.

Is it really time for new wallets, though? I’m still using the same old open-source ones that have a solid reputation. If you just use exchanges for small transactions, it’s not a big deal, but relying on them as your main wallet is risky.

Totally agree. Wallets are not like your regular wallets. You want the most trusted ones that have a track record of fixing any security issues. I get the appeal of new features, but my main stash stays on a secure wallet.

People need to know their wallet well before using it. Do some research. I personally use Electrum because it’s user-friendly and I can easily manage it.

This year, it’s all about Electrum for me too. I’ve got my offline wallet on a broken S9 Plus and a watch-only wallet on another device. The iris scanner adds that extra layer of security.

You definitely wanna use a strong wallet. Hardware wallets are the best for long-term storage, but Electrum is decent too. If you can swing it, get a hardware wallet.

I think saying Electrum isn’t good for long-term storage can mislead newbies. It all depends on how you set it up. If it’s a hot wallet, then sure, it’s risky. But if you treat it right, it can work.

Electrum’s solid, but I think multi-currency wallets are better for mobile. Too bad Electrum doesn’t offer that. I’m happy with Trust Wallet on my phone, even with its recent desktop issues.

Always go for a hardware wallet, but I use Electrum for smaller transactions that don’t need heavy security. That combo works well for 2026.
