So everyone’s been buzzing about Bitcoin since Trump got inaugurated. People thought it would set off a massive bull run, especially with rumors of him making Bitcoin a US reserve. But then he dropped that memecoin right before the event. What’s up with that?

We hit a new peak at $109k, but some were hoping for $120k during the inauguration. All this meme coin chaos from him and even his wife kind of muddles the waters. Still, Bitcoin has been bouncing back, reaching highs again. But I’m not seeing anything concrete on Bitcoin reserves yet.

Same old story. Prices are hanging near record highs, but no executive order for Bitcoin buying as was suggested. If something like that actually happens, we could see a huge price spike quickly. Just waiting for that green candle.

Honestly, the memecoin was just a joke. The simple fact that both him and his wife launched their own coins doesn’t scream long-term vision, right? The price dip from $109K to $100K looks like it might be linked to the lack of Bitcoin talk in his inauguration speech. Who knows if he’ll really adopt Bitcoin as a reserve this year.

Totally agree with you. We’re all just keeping our heads up, but when the real moves start, we’ll notice for sure. The big show hasn’t even begun yet.

Quick question though, is Bitcoin’s future really tied to Trump now? It sounds like everyone thinks he’s running the show with Bitcoin, and that’s far from the truth.

Nah he’s not the future of Bitcoin. But he’s definitely shaping the mood for what’s to come in the market. People follow him, that’s a given. The market doesn’t revolve around him, but his influence is real.

Where is that executive order everyone was hyped about for Bitcoin reserves? Seems like he’s too busy with his meme coins to focus on real crypto stuff. Can we please just get past this price guessing game?

Exactly, his election win created a buzz in the market, can’t deny that. Even if it doesn’t seem logical, the hype around political events does make an impact on crypto. Remember back in 2017, it was all about CME and CBoE influencing prices?

The truth is, speculation is always tied to what’s trending at the moment. It’s like people just latch onto anything that looks like a potential boost for Bitcoin. Remember the hype leading up to the last halving? Prices soared even before that.

Honestly, Trump’s inauguration will probably do zilch for Bitcoin prices. The buzz from his election already lifted things. Now, if he makes any new moves related to Bitcoin, that could shake things up again, but otherwise, it’s just noise.

Did he ever promise to release Ross Ulbricht? If that happens, maybe he’s serious about his words. But I wouldn’t hold my breath for any big Bitcoin strategy announcements just yet.

+1, don’t expect much from him. I mean if he wants to support Bitcoin, awesome, but I won’t be shocked if he doesn’t. His meme coin and his wife’s coin don’t fill me with confidence.

It’s clear that people have unrealistic hopes based on Trump’s presidency affecting Bitcoin. This isn’t an instant fix. We should wait and see how things unfold and gauge real impacts rather than riding on speculative waves.

Man, it’s kind of funny how much hype surrounds him. He seems to be the big hero for crypto right now, but the reality is we just need to temper our expectations and see where the road leads.

I've been in crypto for a decade and have seen this play out before. After the highs come lows. Prepare for a drop eventually after all this excitement wears off.

I think he’ll stick to his promises about Bitcoin. But that memecoin? Just a gimmick. The real test will be to see if the US creates a digital dollar or if Bitcoin solidifies its place.

I’m just not seeing the big market reaction during his inauguration. I’m still bullish long-term, but this memecoin situation is just cluttering things up.

Maybe we did get a boost from his election, but that was because of his friendly stance on crypto compared to his opponent. Without that context, Trump is just another player in the news.

Honestly, it’s a sell-the-news situation now. Post-inauguration, sentiment around Bitcoin remains hopeful. If Trump doesn’t badmouth crypto or if he hints positively about Bitcoin reserves, we might see prices hold steady.
