Speculating here, but let’s face it... Bitcoin's biggest use? Gotta be drugs. A billion-dollar biz for sure.

Source for that claim?

Just throwing ideas around. Got any evidence that says otherwise?

If that’s true, it’s pretty sweet for Bitcoin.
SilkRoad was just one site... not a lot left happening there, imo.

I doubt major dealers are savvy with Bitcoin tech. They trust cash over crypto.

Yeah, maybe small growers use it, but I feel like serious players would stick to old methods. Bitcoin’s traceable, that can be risky.

You’re missing the point. Big transactions often need to cross borders and Bitcoin isn’t liquid enough for that. If it was, we’d see bigger volumes.

If you’ve got proof against my flying spaghetti monster, share it. But seriously, Bitcoin is useful in illegal trade, just don’t oversell it.

#11 Sep 14, 2020, 03:33 AM IDK much about drugs, but yeah, if I did, I’d see packaged alkaloids as a good store of value. But I'm not convinced Bitcoin’s a major player in that world.

#12 Sep 14, 2020, 09:27 AM Wait, do drug users actually pay with Bitcoin?

#13 Sep 15, 2020, 11:00 PM They do. You disagree?

#14 Sep 18, 2020, 07:25 AM Look, I said the industry’s huge. I never claimed everyone uses Bitcoin.
Q #15 Sep 18, 2020, 09:36 AM You keep twisting my words. I mentioned dealers don’t care about price changes, just the stability of it.

#16 Sep 19, 2020, 10:20 PM Sorry, I misread you. Thought you meant they stabilize prices. My bad.

#17 Sep 20, 2020, 03:25 AM So what’s really the difference? They’re just opposites.

#18 Sep 20, 2020, 04:37 AM SilkRoad ain’t the only dark web site selling drugs. There’s lots of hidden services out there.

#19 Sep 20, 2020, 06:54 AM Yeah, price stability ties to low inflation, so I guess a stable Bitcoin would be pegged like the Euro.

#20 Sep 20, 2020, 08:09 AM If dealers use Bitcoin, wouldn’t it barely change the price?
