Back in late 2010, Bitcoin saw its first real drop in price. From around 0.27 USD on November 28 to 0.17 USD by December 9, that's a pretty steep decline. Sure, it was a tiny market back then, only a million bucks, but for those early investors who put real cash in, losing 40% in just 10 days was rough.

I didn’t click the links, but I'm curious why that drop happened. Were there any vulnerabilities back then? I found a couple from late 2010 like the Value Overflow Incident and CVE-2010-5140, where transactions just wouldn’t confirm. Seems like that could’ve freaked some people out, right?
Yeah, I get that. Experienced users usually double-check the sources before clicking. The volatility of Bitcoin back then was insane, and it’s a good reminder for new investors to be cautious. Holding Bitcoin is like holding treasure, but it can feel like a rollercoaster ride. Those long-term holders really need to buckle up, though, since the market can turn on a dime.
