I've been looking into this since last year... there have been around 500 instances where prices shot up over 3.5 standard deviations from the 20-minute average. My data's a bit messy so take it with a grain of salt. I started charting the days of the week these spikes happen and it got me thinking... is my data off? Or do the whales just mess with us during the week and then go wild starting Friday? Seems suspicious, right? What do you guys think? Would love to hear if anyone else has noticed similar trends!

Interesting take! I’ve seen some strange price swings too. Could just be a coincidence but that Friday spike theory is kinda intriguing... maybe they really are playing with us. Anyone got solid proof for these claims?

Not to be a downer but... not sure about your data. Just because something lines up doesn’t mean it’s a pattern. Maybe it’s random? Plus, whales are unpredictable... they can do whatever.

+1 to the whale theory. Seems like a lot of big movements happen on weekends, right? That’s when trading volume picks up.

I wouldn’t call it random, though. There’s definitely something happening at certain times. Just gotta figure out what triggers it!

Could it be news cycles? Like, big announcements usually drop midweek and the market reacts. Might be worth looking into those correlations.
