Just because they're famous doesn't mean they're smarter

Newbies, don't let anyone trick you. It's super easy to prove you're Satoshi Nakamoto. Just log into Nakamoto's account on here and sign messages with the original Bitcoin wallet address. That's all it takes. Anything else is just nonsense. Seriously, avoid people like Jack Dorsey and Craig Wright, they don't even get how Bitcoin's proof of ownership works.

Honestly, I think all this chatter about Satoshi revealing himself is silly. If he wanted to, he wouldn't have disappeared in the first place. It's a part of the whole Bitcoin mystique. People claiming to be him are just chasing press and don't really know Bitcoin.

You’re right about that. If someone could sign from Satoshi’s account, sure, that'd be convincing. But no one can access that. And these days, signing messages from a Bitcoin address isn’t the gold standard anymore. People can just sell access to accounts.

I agree. Trust should be built on proof, not popularity. Just look around, popular figures often use others for their own gain. It’s wild that people still listen to them after they’ve shown they’re not trustworthy.

Claiming to be Satoshi is just a big red flag. Whoever he was, he left Bitcoin for the community. Real Satoshi values privacy and decentralization way more than fame. If he’s out there, he won't make himself known.

It’s complicated. Satoshi’s account is basically locked down, so whoever claimed to be him would need to prove ownership beyond just signing messages. There's too much risk of someone getting their hands on his private keys.

Has Jack Dorsey ever said he’s Satoshi? I’ve never seen that. He’s openly said he isn’t, yet people still speculate. Craig Wright is just a joke at this point, losing case after case.

Right? The mystery is part of what makes Bitcoin appealing. If Satoshi popped up, it would ruin that. He’d get hounded all the time and no one really wants that.

So what’s the deal with Satoshi’s account being locked? I thought he started this place? Sounds like just a security measure to prevent takeover, but why the mystery?

You’ve got it. Signing from one of Satoshi’s addresses is valid, but not foolproof. Whoever claims to be him will need a lot more than just a signature to convince anyone.

You can’t just rely on the big names. Copying what the ‘experts’ do without understanding can lead to losses. We gotta do our own research instead.

I get that, but Satoshi’s private key is still out there somewhere, right? I mean, Hal Finney’s not a fair comparison. He was different.

Hal’s situation is unique. Really can’t compare that. If someone had Satoshi’s private key, we’d be in a whole different conversation.

Exactly, if a real message came through from Satoshi’s wallet, how would that change my investment strategy? Honestly, it wouldn’t. My Bitcoin is mine, no one can take it.

Totally agree about the forum too. Just because someone’s got a high rank doesn’t equal trust. You might be average on IQ tests but that doesn’t make your advice worse.

Fact! The way to prove ownership is straightforward. Anyone who claims they’re Satoshi needs access to his private key. If they don’t have that proof, they’re just noise.

For sure! Maybe Hal left his Bitcoin to his kids. The Satoshi keys could be lost in some attic forever. Anyone with those keys can claim to be him.

Satoshi’s account on here is locked because it’s too important to risk losing it. They’ve been hacked before, and who wants that drama?

Yeah, Satoshi’s identity can’t just rely on the account anymore. It’s about the Bitcoin address. One signed message proves ownership.

True, but there’s also the PGP key. If he came back, that’s another level of proof. But honestly, the chances of him returning get slimmer every year.
