Hey everyone
I'm new here and could use some help figuring out this crypto stuff.
I got Bitcoin sent to me, but while the transaction shows on a couple of explorers, I've been told that the Hash is fake. How can I check if it’s real or not?
Is My Bitcoin Transaction Hash Genuine?

Are you sure you're looking at the right explorer? BscScan isn't for Bitcoin, it's for Binance Smart Chain. Bitcoinexplorer.com also looks sketchy. Maybe drop a link so we can help you out?
If the transaction hash checks out on a legitimate explorer and the amount plus your address matches, how could it be fake?
Can you share more info or the transaction hash to help you? Just know it might affect your privacy a bit.
Who told you the TX hash was fake? You might mean invalid or unconfirmed.
If you sent BTC to a BSC address, that's not real Bitcoin; it’s a BEP20 token. Check where you actually sent it.
Wait, which explorer are you using? BscScan is definitely not for BTC.
OmegaStarScream mentioned some explorers, but just to clarify, blockchain.com is a wallet with an explorer, not the same thing. You might want to share the transaction ID to clear things up.

If it shows in your wallet, then you likely got it.
Just make sure you’re using the correct explorer for Bitcoin. It’s possible you landed on a scam site that claims you received coins but asks for fees to withdraw. Be careful!

You need to know the difference between regular Bitcoin and Wrapped Bitcoin tokens. All Wrapped tokens are altcoins.
Real Bitcoin transactions need to be checked on Bitcoin explorers. Wrapped tokens can be on various blockchains, so check accordingly.
Sounds familiar... if you can track the TXID on BSCscan, then it’s probably fake. I had a situation with my son where he thought he got BTC in Metamask, but it was a test server. Not real crypto. What's your wallet and how did you get BTC there?
