A buddy of mine just called, all excited that Bitcoin hit 73k, and he’s convinced it’s gonna soar to 80k. I just smiled and told him to chill, no way it’s hitting that anytime soon.
Is Bitcoin's Recent Surge a Bull Trap?

I mean, Bitcoin shot up to 126k, then crashed back to 67k. This has to be a bear market, right? What are you guys thinking the price will drop to during this bear season? DCA now to make the most of it.

There’s a pattern in Bitcoin’s cycles, and we seem to be in a bear market. Prices might bounce around a bit, but we could be stuck in this range for a while. Anyone else feel like we won't break 70k any time soon?
Wrong title, man! It should be a bull trap, not a bear trap. It's tricky when you’re trading instead of just holding. Your friend’s logic makes sense, but if it looks like a breakout, we could see big moves.

Honestly, not sure about hitting 75k again. Looks like a bear trap to me. Anyone buying at those prices is taking a big risk. No signs of a bull run yet, just be careful.
I wouldn’t have sold either. I’d want to wait for more gains. If I do buy now, it’s not for quick profits just adding to my stash when I can without hurting my wallet.
Your friend’s timing seems off. Why jump in now? That’s classic FOMO for short-term holders. Bad strategy, imo. It’s likely we’ll dip below 70k again.

It’s tough to predict where things will go. FOMO hits hard I’ve been there. One minute you think it’s going up, next you’re regretting missing a dip. Tell your friend to DCA instead.
Exactly, sounds like a bull trap to me too. Prices shot to 70k and then plummeted. We’re still in a phase of indecision. Don’t let FOMO lead to bad trades.
Tell him to calm down, man! If he thinks that little pump means we’re hitting 80k, he’s got another thing coming. The bear market isn’t over, especially only five months in.
No one knows if it’s a bear trap until the crash hits. But looking at the charts, the recent rally at 73k screams bear trap to me. Short-term fluctuations are just trading noise.
I sold at 73k, waiting to buy back. Now it’s around 66k, seems like a good chance to scoop more. You can’t control what others do, let your friend do his thing.
Really interesting how Bitcoin jumped past 73k, then dropped below 70k. Don’t discourage your friend too much. DCA is key in a bear market, just don’t procrastinate on buying.
You gotta really dig into how this market operates. Right now, we’re in a bear market, and breaks to bull runs aren’t happening yet. Just hold tight and keep DCAing.
Patterns from past bear markets show similar rebounds before further declines. I think we might see that again. The price action lately doesn’t feel strong.

The system is a wild ride, but nothing’s changed from the past. Bitcoin's volatility means we should expect these ups and downs. Short-term investors might find it works in their favor this time.
So you mean bull trap? Market jumps, then bounces back to 60k? Current events affect the price too. If it holds above that 71-72k zone, we might see a push back up.
Yeah, sellers make moves to grab profit, no doubt. If I knew a dip was coming, I’d sell at 73k and buy back at 67k. Your friend really needs to learn more about trading.
People have pointed this out, but it’s definitely a bull trap. Keep an eye on exchange inflows and whale activity. Those trends often signal where the market is headed.

I’m holding onto my Bitcoin for now, no urgent need to sell. I’m curious how your friend is handling the drop again. If he’s in, patience is key to avoid losses.
