Bitcoin is making waves lately. Some folks are overly hyped by wild predictions. Like, "it’s going up forever!" Seriously, though, my experience with Bitcoin and crypto is quite the opposite. Remember when it dropped from $32 to $2 on MtGox ages ago? That’s like saying it could go from $125k to around $7800 now. Can it happen again?
I think the outlook is bright, but let’s not forget the aftermath of Mt. Gox. After all that chaos, Bitcoin still managed to rise. It’s about having patience. Even if it dips to $60k today, it’ll hit new highs again eventually.
So is it really possible? In crypto, anything can happen, but the odds are slim. We’re way more exposed now than back in 2014. Even if Binance got hacked, I doubt we’d see Bitcoin plummet from $85k to $7500. Just look at how it handled the Terra Luna crash!
I don’t see this happening again. The market cap and trading volume are way too different now. A drop like that is just too much for Bitcoin today. So I’m not expecting it.
Nah, not gonna happen. Last bear market, the lowest Bitcoin went was about $15,400. I can’t see it dropping below $50,000 this time. Just my two cents.
Comparing now to then is tough. Mt. Gox had 90% of the trading volume back then. Today, we’ve got countless exchanges and way more liquidity. Institutional money is flooding in, so a crash to around $7800 seems unlikely.
It would take more than just a MtGox issue to drag Bitcoin down to those levels again. Maybe if the US bans it and all exchanges collapse at once. But that’s just not the reality right now.
Only a global ban on crypto could do it. Most governments aren’t against Bitcoin now. Plus, if quantum computers mess with cryptography, I bet developers will adapt. Some think the bottom is around $70k.
Right? The Bitcoin market today is totally different. We have more exposure, more users, and a greater understanding of the market. A drop from $125k to $7800 just doesn’t seem realistic anymore. There’d be too much buying pressure.
It’s impossible to go back to those prices. Bitcoin has evolved. More parties adopting it means stronger demand. I wouldn’t bet on it hitting those lows again.
Technically, anything’s possible. But it’s really unlikely. Back when Bitcoin was $32, the market cap was tiny. Now it’s massive. A huge drop would need a severe black swan event.
Sure, anything can happen, but remember the bubble bursts? Look at 2017. Bitcoin was overpriced, and then it crashed. It’s not just about price points.
Bitcoin is still speculative, but it’s matured a lot. Falling from $125k to $8k seems like a stretch, unless something catastrophic happens. The collapse of big exchanges isn’t likely to cause that.
Anything’s possible, but I trust the Bitcoin chart. There are good times to buy. If Bitcoin hits $45k again, I’m in. Many missed the 2022 low because they were waiting for below $10k.
Exactly! It’s all about sentiment, and it can shift fast. If everyone’s buying, it’s a sign to be cautious. Some companies are just hoarding BTC for show.
