We often think about long-term goals but end up splurging on stuff that gives us quick joy. Not everyone has money to burn, so dropping $1200+ on an iPhone right now seems crazy.

This whole iPhone versus Bitcoin thing has been tossed around a lot. iPhone prices really haven’t changed much, but Bitcoin’s value keeps dropping, which is wild. Depends on why you want the phone, honestly.
It's like rich people vs. wealthy people. The rich waste money to show off while the wealthy invest to grow their funds. If flaunting an iPhone helps you network with richer folks, then maybe it's worth it.

Honestly, if someone can buy whatever phone they want without going broke, go for it. But yeah, investing in Bitcoin instead sounds smarter. If it makes them happy, they should do what they want.
So many people focus on short-term buys and later regret it. My friend always wanted the latest gadgets instead of investing, and now he looks back wishing he had made better choices.

It really comes down to what you need it for. If it's just a status symbol, skip it. But if it genuinely aids your work, maybe it’s justified. Not sure how an iPhone is a necessity for most jobs, though.
Asking if you should buy a phone or invest sounds a bit funny. The iPhone name has everyone curious about its worth. But if you’re struggling, buying one is just not smart. Apple makes great stuff, sure, but it’s pricey.
Yeah, iPhones are steep. But it’s more than just an investment for a lot of us. It’s basically a daily tool. If it helps me out, that’s worth something.

Here the latest iPhone goes for like $500-$600, but the next model is almost double. My daughter's old phone is dead, and I'm stuck deciding if I should splurge.

I get your point, but I think you shouldn't deny yourself nice things if you can afford them. Save for investments and personal enjoyment too. If you keep saving but want something, it’s gonna cause issues.
I feel like this discussion should be under finance instead, since it's more about guiding newbies on Bitcoin investing than debating phone prices.

Life’s about balance. Sure, saving is smart, but enjoying the fruits of your labor matters too. Some folks always wait for the perfect time, but that might never come.
If you don’t actually need a new iPhone, then buying one is dumb. Some people create content for a living, and they might need good camera quality. But if it’s just for show, better to invest.
Totally agree. I see a lot of iPhone owners throwing money away. Most high-end phone users aren't the best with their cash.

That graphic showing how Bitcoin fights inflation is interesting. iPhones get pricier, yet Bitcoin’s worth keeps decreasing. People who've bought old models probably regret it.

People buy gadgets for fun or need. If it's for work, I get it. But those who buy just to flex should rethink, because next year, it’ll be old news.

Saving is better than spending, for sure. But the excitement of a new phone is hard to beat. Plus, having appreciating assets could help future you.

Buying iPhones really depends on the individual. Some prioritize short-term happiness over future planning, which is fine, but they should think about it.
Poor people often get stuck buying liabilities instead of assets. If you’re complaining about not having money to invest while wasting it on iPhones, it’s time to rethink priorities.

That's what sacrifice is about. Delaying temporary joy for long-term satisfaction is key. Future iPhone prices might drop, and we could snag one for way less Bitcoin.
