I don't think it's a big deal right now. Sure, quantum computing might be a concern in 15-20 years if cryptography stagnates. But if they adapt and innovate, it could be like Y2K, just hype with no real threat.

Timing is everything. We’ve heard the doom and gloom about quantum computers breaking current encryption, but change isn’t going to happen overnight. Bitcoin will evolve, and devs can definitely implement quantum-resistant algorithms before it’s too late.
Honestly, quantum computing isn’t a real threat yet. If it were, we’d see more attacks in the wild. Governments would be acting to restrict its development, like with AGI recently.

I read somewhere that a bunch of big companies like Google and IBM are working on quantum tech. It's impressive, but they're still figuring it out. I also heard that America plans to ban ECDSA tech by 2030.
There's still plenty of time for Bitcoin devs to switch to quantum-resistant algorithms. There are proposals out there, even if some are controversial. They just need to get together and find a solid solution.
Yeah, it’s a topic to keep an eye on, but Bitcoin’s holding up fine for now. It’s not like quantum computing is gonna break everything tomorrow.
The thing is, this quantum threat isn’t just for Bitcoin. It affects all data everywhere. Even military stuff isn’t safe. Companies will hold off on releasing quantum tech until they’re sure it’s safe.

You can’t wait for a problem to spread before acting. The quantum talk has been going on for years, but now with recent developments, devs really need to step up. They can’t drag their feet on this.
I believe quantum computing could impact the whole financial market, not just crypto. If it gets to a high level, Bitcoin won’t be the only thing affected. But we’ve got some time to figure things out.
Yeah, it’s labeled a threat, but it’s not that serious yet. Plus, we often assume quantum will just wreck everything without considering that Bitcoin adapts over time.

I totally agree, quantum could be a serious issue for everything. For now, it’s still at a safe level. Developers are working on it with proposals, although no best solution has emerged yet.
