Could Bitcoin Prices Drop Further?

Just saw on CMC that BTC hit around $90,900 today. Makes me wonder if Q2 2025 could be rougher. January-February usually show some big moves, so I'm thinking March might not be pretty either with a potential drop to around 80k.

Definitely, the Bybit hack is gonna shake things up. Even though BTC wasn’t directly affected, the fear and withdrawal frenzy can move the market. Right now, BTC's at $91,900, bouncing off that low of $90,900. February’s unpredictable, but March could be key.

Chill with Q2 predictions... everyone thinks they can call the ‘bottoms’ and ‘tops’ but no one really knows. Don't count on another $15k bottom or a million-dollar top this year. Realistically, we should expect something between 70k and 350k, based on real economic factors.

Touching that 80k mark could totally happen, but when? March is still up in the air. Remember when BTC dropped from 60k to 30k? Our ATH was 109k, so a drop to 54.5k isn’t off the table. As long as we stay above 50k, it’s not panic time yet.

Yeah, but looking at Bitcoin's growth from 2021 to 2024 shows it has been bullish. It’s tough to claim what Q2 will look like. The hack could be a factor, but last Q4, nobody expected BTC to hit that 100k ATH. So, it’s tricky.

Currently, Bitcoin's on a downward trend, making me think it could dip lower next month. The Bybit breach likely plays a part in this. Plus, remember how tariffs announced by the US President affected prices in the past?

I just can’t shake the feeling this panic sell is overblown. Bybit was more of an altcoin exchange. They lost ETH, not BTC. If panic selling takes over, it'll be interesting to see how long it lasts, especially since it’s just a few days post-hack.

Right? It’s all about those weak hands. If enough of them start dumping their bags, we might see a true panic. But honestly, the sell-off doesn’t feel that intense right now.

Bitcoin's been pretty stable lately, but this drop surprised a lot of us. Today's low was about 88,200. I think we might hover around 85k to 90k for a bit. Let's see what March brings before jumping to conclusions.

TL;DR; looks like the recent dip isn’t caused by celebrity tweets or political drama. It’s clearly linked to the hack and what followed. There’s data showing ETH from the hack was shifted to BTC recently.

Exchange hacks are happening way too often now. But really, Bybit's impact isn’t massive in the big picture. Yet, bad news will always affect BTC to some extent. But at some point, we’ll need good news to spark a rally.

Now it’s dropped to 88k. The Bybit hack is a huge factor behind this, plus people are panicking and withdrawing funds like crazy. Can't ignore Trump’s tariffs either. If we don’t see a bounce-back soon, we might hit 80k.

Bybit claimed they’ve covered their losses and restored liquidity. If the hack caused this dip, it should've happened way earlier, not now. I think this is just a price correction.

Seriously, why convert stolen coins to BTC instead of, like, Monero? Seems like a rookie mistake.

Bybit assures that all funds are safe, so I don’t get how a 1.5 billion hack leads to a big drop in BTC. Sure, Trump’s tariffs add to the tension but there’s potential positive news too.

I edited my previous post for accuracy. It’s easy to make mistakes with numbers, but we gotta keep it straight. Anyway, what’s happening to BTC is just one part of a larger trend.

Reading your thoughts is solid. Yeah, after hitting 100k, a correction was bound to happen. Now, we gotta keep an eye on the market for the next couple of months. The hack did play a role, but we can’t ignore other factors.

A few weeks back, someone predicted a correction. Got it saved here. A 30% dip could happen, but long-term, we might break through the 107k mark.

Glad my TA is getting taken seriously! A correction can set us up for a bigger move ahead. This dip should be treated as a buying opportunity.

Yeah, it’s not shocking. BTC’s been stuck under resistance for a while now. Unsure if Bybit news caused this drop; feels like manipulation more than anything else. Waiting for a bounce-back soon. Maybe we’ll hit 90k again or even go back to 96k soon.
