Just curious if anyone thinks there's a real correlation between stock prices and Bitcoin? I know stocks went up a lot, so a 50% crash seems unlikely, but if it happens, what do you all think? Could Bitcoin drop to $23979?

Human behavior's tricky to predict. A lot of us assumed that global tensions would sink Bitcoin, but it actually bounced back when stocks fell. If the stock market crashes, people might either flock to Bitcoin or panic sell it. The reasons behind the crash could directly impact Bitcoin.

Not sure if a 50% stock crash would drag Bitcoin down to that level. If stocks tank, investors might look for safer places to put their cash, which could be crypto or precious metals. Still, anything can happen, and unexpected events could mess with Bitcoin big time.

True, but the odds of Bitcoin plummeting that low are slim. Cryptos are still seen as risky, not really a safe bet like gold. If stocks drop massively, money usually runs from riskier assets, not just shifts from one risky asset to another. We really don’t want an economic disaster.

Yup, it all depends on why the market crashes. Macroeconomic issues could drag everything down together, but local stuff might cause them to move differently. A 50% drop isn't common unless a recession hits, but we should prepare for craziness in a volatile market.

Last time stocks fell that much was back in 2008. Bitcoin hasn’t seen that kind of turmoil. Most recently, in March 2020, stocks dropped like 33%, and Bitcoin fell about 50%. So while huge drops in stocks don’t happen often, when they do, things get wild.

It’s definitely a possibility. If stocks take a nosedive, Bitcoin will likely follow. Honestly, I think it could even fall lower than $23979 maybe around $17k, which was a previous low. People are talking about it a lot lately.

I wish I could actually break down the numbers and compare traditional asset crashes to Bitcoin. Losses happen across the board, but the impact feels worse with local assets. Crypto is volatile, but so is everything else.

This guy just wants attention with that claim. Bitcoin dropping to that level? Nah, not happening. Ten years ago, maybe there was a chance, but not anymore. With a limited supply, when prices dip, smart buyers just scoop it up.

Agree, pretty much any prediction can be made these days. The original post is just another guess. If you study the market closely enough, you'll see patterns and make predictions. Bitcoin does tend to follow stocks to some degree, but yeah, we're in a bear market right now.
