So like, do you think one day we could actually use Bitcoin to send money between planets like Earth and Mars? Seems pretty wild... but is it even possible?
Honestly, blockchain doesn’t care about borders. As long as there’s internet, you could send BTC from anywhere, even Mars. No need for a separate blockchain for each planet.
If someone on Mars accepts Bitcoin, then why not? I mean, if we get better tech for communication, Bitcoin could totally adapt to that. It sounds like sci-fi tho, right?
All you need is internet connectivity. Set up a node on Mars and you’re good to go. Sure, there’ll be delays, but syncing the ledger isn’t a huge problem.
Earth might eventually become less important if we find lots of planets to live on. But mining might have to stay centralized on Earth or the moon due to those time issues.
I know it sounds wild, but if there’s ever a link between Earth and Mars, I think Bitcoin transactions will be fine. Just gotta think about mining logistics.
