So I saw this convo on X, and it got me thinking: a dude mentioned that malware fees make up a minuscule part of miner rewards. Apparently, 0.07BTC is like $4600, and the total reward for those blocks was 78.125BTC, which is over $5 million! Crazy how those fees only add up to around $184 per block... That's less than 0.009% of the whole miner reward though, right?

Lol, look at this! Pepe's tossing cash around like it's nothing. Miners are already on razor-thin margins, trying to scrape every sat they can get. But math seems lost on some of these folks. Seriously, 52 days left until knots stops accepting non-signaled blocks. And they expect to reach 50%+ hash rate? Never gonna happen, man.

You guys gotta get how difficulty adjustment impacts this. If we upped the miner reward, sure, miners could profit for a bit, but then the next adjustment hits. Plus, we just saw a massive price drop. Miners ain’t just disappearing after a 50% drop, right? So claiming a tiny 0.0089% dip would wreck them? Kinda sketchy, don’t you think?
