Just saw this new token called Collect on Fanable ($COLLECT). You can check the contract address if you want: 0x4B3D30992f003c8167699735F5Ab2831B2A087D3.
It seems interesting at first vaulting real collectibles in secure storage, while also making sure ownership is verified on-chain. You can trade instantly and keep track of your portfolio anytime. Sounds cool, right?

The idea is cool, but... you're just shifting the risk from shipping to custody. Like, who actually owns the cards in that vault? What happens if something goes south?
Checked the token too, looks like it's a BEP-20 on BNB with a 3B max supply. Everything seems legit, though. The supply is minted to a vault contract address. Just don’t want any hidden tax or blacklist issues popping up.

I feel like this is kinda similar to what NBA Top Shot did, right? They have these packs where you can pull cards, and Panini also does something along those lines. If you grab an NFT, you get a real-world equivalent too.
But honestly, I prefer the actual cards. It’s nice to physically hold them. Anyone else feel that way?
