Civilian career vs. military enlistment

With the economy being so shaky right now, what should we choose? A regular job or enlistment in the military? Military benefits can be quite appealing, especially in the US. But I get it, the military isn't for everyone. So if you had to pick one, what would it be?

I'm all about safety first, man. I wouldn’t go for military service since it puts my life at risk. So yeah, civilian life for me. Maybe it sounds selfish but hey, dead is dead forever.

Really? Military service feels like a vacation now? Lol I get it... but in some real wars, it’s not a joke. Sure, if you ignore the risks, it sounds great. Pretty safe, decent pay... for now.
