Is Bitcoin ever gonna be the main currency worldwide? Like, what are your thoughts on its future? I feel it's gaining traction and could beat the dollar.
Can Bitcoin Become the Global Currency?

Honestly, I see it differently. There's too much resistance, especially from governments not wanting to lose control. Bitcoin may not break through that barrier.
Sure, but do you really think it'll be Bitcoin? I mean, its volatility makes it tough to use as a stable currency. Other local currencies might step up instead.
Yeah but Bitcoin's presence is everywhere. Some nations might ban it to keep banks in business. In my area, people secretly use it, but the government isn't on board.
I kind of agree here. Governments want to maintain their fiat currencies because they don't want to cede financial control. That’s why many nations restrict Bitcoin.

Bitcoin's already a global currency by usage, but will countries give up their fiat? Not happening anytime soon. Many people are still offline and can't even use it.
It’s growing fast, but it's not really seen as a currency anymore. More like digital gold or an investment. We’ve kinda lost sight of the original idea.

But the speed of transactions has improved a lot. Bitcoin's usage is climbing, even if it's not officially recognized everywhere. Cashless transactions are coming, and Bitcoin will keep evolving.

Future's uncertain, but I think Bitcoin has a shot. Countries like Russia and China are eyeing it for trade. Maybe the US will start embracing it too.

Yes, Bitcoin’s great for trading. But it’s far from being a true currency. The US dollar is backed by the government, while Bitcoin relies on speculation.

You mean ‘decentralized currency’ right? Yeah, Bitcoin’s decentralized nature is its strength, but also a roadblock for global acceptance. Need to work out the tech for mass transactions.
Been some time since Bitcoin's been around, yet it’s still not fully functioning as a currency. Just can’t see that happening soon with this level of government control.
Totally agree it’s more an investment than a currency at this point. Governments would never let their fiat currencies get dethroned,
Great point. Countries experimenting with their own digital currencies might not support Bitcoin's rise. The whole decentralized idea clashes with their control.
Yeah, it’s clear that not every country is on board, especially when they’re trying to launch their own CBDCs, they see Bitcoin as a threat.

But how about the idea of Bitcoin as a reserve currency? That could happen if enough countries agree to use it collectively.

But how realistic is that? I doubt countries with strong fiat systems will let Bitcoin take over their financial systems anytime soon.
If Bitcoin were to become universal, it could really simplify things, but it’s such a long shot right now.
Let’s not forget, Bitcoin was meant to challenge fiat. It’s supposed to avoid central authority control, but that’s the very thing stopping it.

The way I see it, Bitcoin could help with international transactions, especially in times of crisis. But full adoption? Big obstacles.
